Chapter Three- Survival (part one)

WOW! I FINALLY met Penny Gohne! My dream! I thought as I climbed into my top bunk. I grabbed the most awesome picture of her, where she's in her time machine, and hugged it. I looked into my other awesome history book, and I had her bookmarked, which means I hit a button on the side of the book and he said the same speech that he had on her.
"Welcome. Penny Gohne was brilliant even as a child. She was in advanced math and science, and always thought of invention ideas, keeping them in a notebook. She founded the Science Laboratory of California, discovered cures for common ailments, and made several inventions, such as the time machine and universe opener, but died mysteriously after going into her time machine and never coming back. She was 54," she said.
I closed the book. How could she be dead if she's here with us now? Are we the cause of her "death"?
"Oh!" I breathed, realizing that we're destroying her future in the past.
Wow. Confusing, huh?

Penny was at the press conference the day after. Bob, Lizzie, Jack and Kris were there, standing beside her. Her companions, friends, and co-workers. All of them were proud of themselves. It all happened slowly- the questions, demonstration, and announcement of them winning the Nobel Prize and recieving it later that month. Then she fell off her plasma chair, instantly waking up to a bright red window and four teens staring at her, all in their clothes.
"AHH!" she yelled.
"It's okay. We're just going to the bakery, then to the recycling center for some clothes for you. You coming?" the girl named Therrie asked.
"Oh. Sure. Let's go," Penny said, getting up.
They all headed out the door, their chances of survival flying out the window with them.

Ohh... scary! What should happen next? Comment!

Chapter Two- The Hut (Part 2)

We got to the Hut, a really nice place, for the name, and the boys were lounging around in such a manner that we would have kicked them onto the streets if we were around when they started.
"KIR! FRANGI! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I yelled, throwing pillows at them. They were both lounging on the NICE plasma chairs, in their UNDERWEAR.
They freaked out, not because of Therrie and me, but because Penny was there.
"AHH!" they both yelled, running into their room.
Other than that, Penny seemed to marvel at the usual place of comfort for us. We were in the front room, with plasma chairs, (chairs made of plasma covered with cloth) worn blue carpet, and a long, thick line of books on bookshelves. (Holographic books that talk. Seriously, they read you the book with different character voices and act OUT the book. You also can ask questions, and they answer. It's AWESOME!)
She looked around the bookshelves, and picked a history book, my favorite. She opened the book, and the writer popped up on the screen. He was blue, short, and holograpic, and not much else.
"Hello, my lady. What would you like to learn about?" he questioned. A wierd accent came out as he spoke. Something my mom said was southern, whatever that means...
"Who's Penny Gohne?" she asked, staring the man down.
He, stared back, but started talking slowly, building his speed as he went. He lectured, "She was the single greatest scientist of the 21st century. She invented the time machine, transporter, and the universe opener, but before she could test the opener, she died of radiation skin cancer from the time machine. The machine was so premature, that people kept working on it, but they all died too. No one could figure it out, until the 25th century, when Ecrig Loviwe figured out that the only "safe" way to time travel was through wormholes, which can be altered through different types of light waves. She was 54."
She closed the book, put it back, and looked at us.
"I... die of my own machine?"
"Well, Madame Curie died of radiation poisoning becasue she didn't know the side affects. You and the rest don't know, or are supposed to. I'm sorry," I replied.
She was quiet for a while, then looked at us again.
"I can't go back, if I'm just going to die. I'll help you. I'll leave my life, everything, and help humanity. You guys. Even the wierd undewear guys." We all laughed.
At that moment, the guys came in, not sure what just happened, but glad that Penny was there to help.

How can I die? Penny thought, trying to sleep on the plasma chair/couch an hour later, when everyone else turned in for the night/day thing. I worked on this thing for months. I did the radiation calculations. I worked on a type of anti-radiation suit, which I brought with me.
What did I do to deserve that death?
Will I die of it, or some other horrible death?
How will I help these kids? Magic? I don't know their machinery.
Oh well. Worry about all that tomorrow.

Chapter Two- The Hut (Part 1-ish) (Escape)

After this episode, we brought her to The Hut we live in. It's nothing special- just my house that we go to each night to converse, have discussions, and that sort of thing. We left her time machine out where it was, and headed off for it. We had a little conversation, but we just thought basically.
Oh my gosh. How could the first awesome scientist wind up with us? I mean, she SHOULD be dead, not being mean or anything, but she's outlived her time. Oh well, I'll never understand time travel. She HAS to help us, though, otherwise she'll be nothing. WE'LL be nothing. HUMANS will be nothing.

Oh, boy, Penny, what have you gotton yourself into? You've just invented time travel, and now you get to help out the last humans, who you JUST met, and haven't EVEN met, leave the universe itself. Gee. Today has been REALLY fun.

From NOW ON, all entries will be from Escape.

Chapter One- A Visit (Escape)

Penny Gohne was so excited. She couldn't believe that she made the very first TIME MACHINE! It was astounding. 10 years of work was finally done. Her crew and herself turned in early for the night, but none of them could sleep. Her thoughts kept racing back to the machine. She finally, at 2 in the morning, got up, went in her car, and drove back to the lab. After the checking in, she raced up the stairs and, heart pounding, opened the door. Her machine stood there, like it had a spotlight on it.
9 feet tall, it towered over the woman. A cylinder of glass, it held only a box of intricate wires, programs, and carefully studied computer chips. She stared at it, not sure why she came. She looked around it, admiring the work, the blood, sweat and tears everyone had put into this awesome machine.
She saw that it was on. She looked around, to see if anyone was there, and saw none. She opened the rounded glass door and walked inside.

"Kir, where are we?" Therrie asked, in her usual little girl voice.
"I don't know. Just looking. We need to find it," Kir grunted, looking like a hawk.
"THEM," I said, knowing that we just might never find them.
"Oh, lighten up, Kireka. We all know what he means. I hope we do find 'em. I want to leave this boring place," said the usual peacemaker, Frangi.
If you notice, we're trying to find some things.
What are we looking for?
Something early humans called gold and diamond.

She put in the number code to start up the machine, then set in a time after she closed and locked the door. '400 Years A.D' the screen said.
She hit the go button, right before there was a sound of a firecraker and she knocked on the keyboard an extra trillion, so it now read
"400 Trillion Years A.D".

"Let's split up. Girls go down, guys go up," Kir ordered. We were finding nothing.
"Ok, Kir. Let's go, Therrie," I said.
We split, and we headed to the south end of town, the closest part to the star. we started walking, hearing only our footprints and ragged breathing.
Let me explain some things to you. We are basically the only four live humans left. The 396 others who died 3 years ago died because of wierd reasons. The adults were killed from a random solar flare that mutated them, and the kids went insane and jumped off the sides, instantly killing them. Frangi's younger sister was one of them. He's going through this depression thing, so we try to be nicer around him.
This is also the end of the universe itself. Earth and everything else has been long gone. We are seriously the only ones left, and we have to leave REALLY soon.
One problem.
We can't find the main parts to the universe opener.
The gold and diamond.
And there are no more left.
Oh, joy.

Penny finally jumped out of the time machine. She was frazzled. She was in ther for several minutes, and that wasn't normal. She looked around, and she was on the most pitiful city. With dirt everywhere, it looked abandoned. She looked back in the machine to see the time, and she saw that she was in 400 trillion years in the future. This was when the universe would die. She had to get out. Fast.
But before that, she saw two teenage girls walking to her. They stopped, then ran to her, the happiest looks on their faces.
She couldn't move.

We were walking, and then Therrie saw a glare from the dwarf. We stopped. A middle age woman in what looked like her pj's was starring at us. We ran to her, hoping that she could help us.
"Help us! Please?" Therrie wheezed as we reached her, out of breath.
"Umm... With what?" she asked, totally confused.
"Excuse her. We REALLY need something, and we hope that you can help us get it. I'm Kireka, and this is Therrie. Kir and Frangi are on the other side of the town, so we'll catch up with them later. Who are you? What time are you from?" I said.
"Uhh, I'm Penny Gohne, and I'm from 2010. This is my time machine."
"Penny Gohne?"
"Yes..."
"Oh... my... gosh... YOU'RE PENNY GOHNE!"
"Yeeeesss, and..."
"You built the first time machine!"
"Yeeesss. This is it."
"Oh, WOW." I ran to the machine. I glued my eyes on it.
I LOVED her. She was a genius.
I just hoped that this unlikely person here in the REALLY tiny city could help us.

I'm not joking when I say this- I wrote this passage on the spot. I just thought and typed. How do you like it? Comment below, and write some of your own book! :)
